When MKR originally teamed up with Eileen Carter Creations and Whipped Bakeshop, no one could deny that Easter truly takes the cake when it comes to desserts. And if you’re like me, you didn’t even realize how much you loved Easter desserts until you saw this shoot! The pretty pastels, the intricate details and hints of spring…I’m in love.

This table’s gorgeous styling serves as some of the sweetest Easter desserts I’ve seen around (seriously, I see way too much tchotchke stuff out there this time of year).  Just look at these three glorious cakes (my favorite is the speckled robin’s egg blue buttercream with a chocolate and Baileys center of course!) by Eileen Carter, an irresistible batch of homemade pistachio pudding, blooming cherry blossom branches with Easter egg cookies from Whipped Bakeshop, and last but not least, Easter eggs for all to enjoy.

I’ll admit that this Easter dessert table goes above and beyond what we have planned at my house; but oh what a great way to celebrate the holiday. What Easter desserts will you be making come Easter Sunday?  Cheers, Kat

With St. Patty’s Day being right around the corner I’m dreaming of an Irish inspired dinner and this shoot is literally everything that dreams are made of (and maybe goes beyond that). I think of a warm tablescape set with rustic earthenware, vintage flatware and flowers picked from the garden.  I think of a meal full of comforting, hearty and robust flavors…and a pint or two of stout ale of course.

The talented team behind this shoot completely nailed this gorgeous gathering, first featured in Cottage Hill Magazine, and we knew we had to share it here on the blog for all to enjoy.  Forget the typical tchotchke decor you’d expect for St. Patrick’s Day, and instead soak up each and every expressive detail: Rustic White masterfully captured the feelings of a true Irish inspired dinner.  Homespun served tasty, traditional fare, while the Tailor & Table team styled the inviting table to perfection. Marked designed its delightful menu and invites (frame-worthy, don’t you think?) and Goodwin Events set the scene with rustic furniture rentals fit for the Irish feast. Cheers, Kat

Stay tuned tomorrow and come hungry; we’ll be sharing a few recipes from this Irish inspired dinner. xo

I know I’ve probably said I’ve had several “favorite shoots” from the past, but this one is definitely on the top of that list.  I always find myself drawn to this lush, blooming Easter tablescape from the archives for entertaining inspiration this time of year.  There’s something so beautiful in the cheery yellows and greens, and what better time to let them shine than Easter Sunday?

With a floral centerpiece like this, you don’t need to worry about adding much else to your table; the blooms stand alone to make such a stunning statement.  You know I’m a big fan of spring, and I love how Lindsay Coletta allowed these spring blooms to cascade onto the tabletop in a bit of an unruly way…very much like fresh flowers growing in the wild.  And as if we needed more pretty on the table, in the original post and today, MKR inspires us with her ability to pattern play with stacking complimentary plates (how sweet are these new bunny plates?!) all atop cheery raffia placemats

I can’t share this gorgeous tablescape without mentioning that Lush Cakery has me drooling still to this day over her fluffy coconut cake.  And of course, there’s plenty of room for other Easter treats (like Peter Cottontail Cupcakes and Homemade Pistachio Pudding) to truly celebrate the holiday! Cheers, Kat
