Organizing your linen closet in 2016 via Waiting on Martha

As we shared on Thursday, this laundry room organization post was one of our most popular in 2015!  It only made sense to archive this oldie but goodie as we all switch gears into organization mode for the coming year.  With these few simple organization hacks, you’ll be well on your way to a more organized linen closet in 2016 (and I’ll cheers to that).

As MKR shared, the linen closet is one of her home’s biggest downfalls.  Located inside the guest bathroom, there’s really no hiding the chaos.  So her solution?  Baskets!  With a combination of both woven AND wire baskets, she created a space that’s just as appealing on the eye as it is functional.  The wire baskets work great for items more frequently used, like bath and beach towels.  The larger woven baskets work best for bedding, while the smaller woven baskets corral cleaning supplies, bathroom necessities and everything you need to cure a cough or bandage a wound.

Lastly, hand-written labels (by our talented girl, Jenn Gietzen) provide that extra dose of OCD-pretty.   Consider adding a few that even say “help yourself” so guests feel welcome to grab a towel or toothbrush.  Voila!  Easy linen closet organization complete.  How are you tidying up your space this year?  Cheers, Kat

Last year, you had a session about an artist who painted or lettered one word for the year.
Are you doing that again, for 2016?

Yes, it’s launching this coming week!!!! xo
