This Monday needs a little more cocktail and a little less Monday, are we right? Here’s another fantastic cocktail recipe from our friends and creative partners Jenn Gietzen and Kathryn McCrary with #ProjectSip. This rhubarb old fashioned cocktail has the power to take the bite out of a mean Monday and has us counting down until next happy hour. With a little bourbon, blood orange and rhubarb you have yourself a winning drink. Cheers, Kat
- 2 single shots of bourbon
- 1/2 single shot of buttermilk no. 1
- 3 quarters of blood orange juice
- 2 single shots of rhubarb simple syrup
- Cut up 3-4 stalks of rhubarb and make simple syrup
- Squeeze 3 quarters of blood oranges for juice into glass
- Add rhubarb simple syrup, buttermilk no. 1 and bourbon into glass
- Mix together
- Add ice and enjoy your twist on a classic old fashioned!
This looks delicious!!! Love that Bittermilk branding…
Thanks Annie, so sad I missed you while I was in Charleston, next time for sure! xo
