Island Ready + A Pomegranate Giveaway

Atlantis Bahamas

On Sunday I’m hoping on a jet plane with Occasions Magazine and heading to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.  I’ve been dying to go to Atlantis for years and I couldn’t be more thrilled, giddy, jumping for joy, to finally be experiencing it for the Magazine.  But before I can dip my toes in that crystal blue water I’ve got a lot of essentials to buy, packing to do, and SPF to slather on to become Island Ready.  Luckily my friends over at Pomegranate have made the what to pack part a tad easier.

You’ve heard me talk about Pomegranate before as they are one of my absolute favorite brands and their summer line is always something to covet. From their kaftans and tunics to their soon to be released bathing suits (you will die at how amazing they are), I can always count on Pomegranate for easy, warm weather style.  And because Pomegranate shares my deep love for the islands (they always shoot their look books in the Bahamas) I’ve teamed up with them to share my 15 island essentials plus we’re giving away one of their tassel shawls and striped raffia clutches to TWO lucky readers!  My essentials and giveaway details are below, and I’m off to pack.  Happy Monday and good luck Loves!  truly, MKR

1  ||  Pomegranate Tassel Shawls (Coral & Navy).  These versatile shawls are my go-to all summer long.  They’re perfect as a cover up, a scarf, and even a beach blanket.

2  ||  BaubleBar Mini Icon Stud Set.  Earrings that are unfussy enough to be worn while lounging in the sand, plus I love the different mismatched combinations you can create.

3  ||  St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse.  I’ve tried a lot of fake tanning lotions.  A lot.  And the St. Tropez is by far the easiest to apply with the most natural coloring.

4  ||  Essie nail polish.  A bright pink for my hands and toes.

5  ||  Pomegranate Striped Raffia Clutch.  My new favorite summertime clutch that’s not even available to purchase online yet!

6  ||  Gold & Gray Buddha Necklace.  An easy way to accent any outfit, day or night.

7  ||  Karen Walker Super Duper Sunnies.  Extra large, sun blocking sunnies.

||  Nordstrom’s Serape Blanket.  A beach blanket big enough for me, my mags, and my margaritas.

10  ||  SuperGoop SPF 30 Lip Balm.  This protective lip balm doesn’t leave my side during summer months

11  ||  Explorer Series Camera Snorkel.  The perfect way to capture all of my under water adventures.  Though if I’m being honest I’m a tad scared of the ocean, or rather sharks, jelly fish, and anything that could bring bodily harm.  Hopefully this is a fear I’ll be conquering next week so stay tuned.

12  ||  Tory Burch Sandals.  You had me at clear straps and gold bows.

13  ||  Jack Black SPF 45 Sun Guard.  One of my absolutely favorite product lines, I’m addicted to the lip balm.

14  ||  NARS Body Glow.  I’ve been slathering this on for over a decade now.  It gives you just the right, well…glow, and it smells heavenly!

15  ||  Gold & Gray Tassel Bracelets.  These handmade, beaded bracelets look great on the beach and at dinner.

The legal mumbo jumbo...this giveaway will run through Sunday the 4th with our two winner announced Monday the 5th.  We’ll be running this all through Rafflecopter (below) which allows you to earn points for each item you complete with a simple click of the button.  The more points you earn the more likely you are to win (and remember you probably already have entry points if you’re a regular reader of the blog).  This post and giveaway is sponsored by Pomegranatebut my thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

A Blooming Easter Tablescape

When creating the look for my Easter tablescape I knew I wanted everything to be very natural and feel like I literally brought the outdoors in.  To accomplish that idea I enlisted the help of my friend, and amazing florist Lindsay Coletta.  Lindsay is known for her flowing, organic arrangements which are largely made up of foraged flowers and plants.  I accented Lindsay’s wildflowers with a mix of patterned and textured plates, Lush Cakery’s there-are-no-words-its-that-good coconut cake, and a boozy peach lemonade cocktail.  Recipe coming Monday!  So with my table set tell me, will you be hosting Easter dinner this Sunday?  truly, MKR
