Easy Summer Dressing

Catching a Breeze in My New Favorite Blue Embroidered Dress

As soon as the temps start to heat up, all I want to wear is something super easy and breezy.  This blue embroidered dress by Free People is all of that for me…I could live in it! The blue, of course, called my name immediately, but there’s also a black version which is beautiful too.

Pairing the dress with espadrilles seemed like a no-brainer to me; I couldn’t wait to pull these beauties out.  They’re so comfortable (coming from Soludos you’d expect nothing less) and give me just the right amount of height for all of my summer frolicking.

And lastly, how can I not mention this bag?! I mean just when I think I’ve fulfilled my Zac by Zac Posen bag obsession, I’m all heart eyes for the new season styles!  And I think this season may be my favorite yet; this one and this one will be on repeat so just be prepared. #sorrynotsorry Truly, MKR

A Trip To The Farm

A Chilly Visit to See Serenbe's Tiny Houses for Artists

A few weeks ago, my friend and photog Kathryn and I escaped the city to celebrate the launch of the Rural Art Farm Cottages at Serenbe.  The launch gave us a peek at small house living; we poked around the cottages that will serve as artists’ new digs, all constructed by architecture students at Auburn University.  We knew we were in for a treat…especially since our friends (and noted designers) Steve McKenzie & Kerry Howard created the gorgeous interiors

Being back at Serenbe also reminded me just what a little road trip can do for your soul; you feel so removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, and you’re only 45 minutes away.  But when we hopped in the car, I was in no way prepared for just how FREEZING it was that day (I swear it almost snowed)!  Skipping around to get warm in my fave platform sneakers (actually so comfortable), I was happy to at least have my camel Campaign coat and my wool fedora to keep a little heat in. And of course, being hands-free thanks to my Christmas present to myself (talk about a beautiful cross-body bag) helped too.  Now if only I had remembered some mittens!  Truly, MKR

The 5 Best Sites For Selling Your Clothes Online

These Trusted Sites Make It Simple to Sell Your Designer Duds
Filed Under > Everyday

Lugging your old trench coats, slip dresses (though seeing this lovely one may inspire you to keep it after all) and designer handbags into a traditional consignment shop is a thing of the past, my friends. There are so many easy ways to sell your clothes online these days, and I have to say it’s quite satisfying as a seller to get that confirmation email saying I’ve just received an offer, or my item has sold.

Most of the best sites to sell your clothes online work in a similar fashion (free shipping is key), and they’re all straightforward in how they process and list your items. The only hoop to jump through, really, is being patient enough to take the photos and upload your designer duds!  But any true fashionista won’t be able to resist the chance to trade-in old favorites for new, right? Click through the slideshow above to find the five best sites to sell your clothes online (especially my favorites: Vestiaire Collective and The RealReal). Tell me, have you tried to sell online?  Do you have a go-to site you prefer over the rest?  Cheers, Kat
