Yesterday you joined me as I toured around a few of my favorite Atlanta haunts in a pair of classic Fryes and an elevated take on black cowboy boots as part of The Frye Company’s #TheFRYELife City Guide. As a wearer of Fryes for almost a decade, I appreciate boots that are comfortable, timeless and well made. My rugged Campus boots will always be a favorite of mine, but it’s funny how I find myself reaching for a pair of cowboy boots after living in the South for a few years!

For those times I’m looking for a low, edgier boot, I now turn to this pair of buckled booties. The Frye Company’s Ray Belted Bootie is a pair that I know I’ll be rocking for years to come, with its sharp side belted details and antiqued flair.  It’s a great transitional and incredibly versatile pair that won’t run you the risk of looking generic.

Naturally, I love any excuse to visit my favorite locales around town (Northside Tavern for live blues, Inman Park for a King of Pops popsicle (Key Lime Pie is my favorite), Chattahoochee Coffee Company and Star Provisions for a treat) and it’s always more fun when I can show off a pair of kicks, especially if those kicks are Fryes. Truly, MKR

P.S. For more scenes from my Southern stomping grounds, follow along this Saturday and Sunday when I’ll be taking over The Frye Company’s Instagram. xo

When I heard The Frye Company was coming to Atlanta to open its very first store in the area, it immediately brought me back to my festival-going days with a big ole wave of nostalgia. Back to the days when I was carefree, restless and young, when I could be spotted in a pair of classic, rugged boots all over my early stomping grounds. And let me tell you, those boots would have some stories to share.  But they’ve withstood the test of time (I’ve had that pair for nearly a decade!), and have held up beautifully as all Fryes do.  All my fellow Frye owners can attest that the boots’ solid craftsmanship and classic designs (with just the right amount of edge) are some of those “Forever Items.”

With a shiny new store at Ponce City Market which is absolutely jaw dropping, comes a wonderful excuse to pick up another pair or two and that’s just what I did.  Today and tomorrow, I’m sharing scenes from a recent spin around town to a few of my favorite haunts in my new Fryes: Northside Tavern to catch the best live blues, Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall for a little brunch action, Gio’s…because how could I pass up one last gelato and much more.  All just a day in #TheFryeLife. Truly, MKR

P.S. This Saturday and Sunday I’ll be taking over the Frye Instagram, so be sure to tune in to find me at the best local spots (in my new Fryes of course). xo
