Martha MUST…Ginger Jars

I’m having a major blue and white moment, (have I told you all this yet I swear I forget what I’ve shared and what I haven’t).  A major moment.  My kitchen doors and island have been painted a deep midnight navy.  I have 15 blue and white (with some green) pillows throughout the family room accompanied with that same midnight navy on the ceiling.  My foyer’s console table has a complete collection of ginger jars in all shapes and sizes (a collection the Mr. is still nervous about knocking over on the daily).  And that collection of ginger jars on the table is really what started my obsession.

While most decorating savants have been collecting all things ginger (jars, lamps, plates, etc) for years and years, there has been a huge resurgence and love for them over the past year.  And if my trip to The Mart this week (that’s where I do all my buying for The Shop) is any indication of things to come then 2014 is all about the ginger jar.  You can find ginger jars practically everywhere and range in price from high to low.   My current jar faves are from C.Wonder, Williams & Sonoma, and One Kings Lane.  And if you’re a good hunter you can still find century-old jars in antique stores, but finding one with it’s original lid intact is extremely difficult.  So tell me are ginger jars a MUST for you?  truly, MKR.

Studio Ten 25

As most of you know I’m home design/decor obsessed.  Truly obsessed.  I think in my head I’m currently decorating 10 dream homes (though I still can’t seem to finish the one I actually own).  And in my never ending home designing head I’m always looking for inspiration, and of course for just the right pieces.  Luckily I’ve found a spot that has both.  Abbe Fenimore’s Studio Ten 25.  Design, Blog, Shop…perfection.

Abbe Fenimore, the woman behind Studio Ten 25 is often compared to her work: energetic, imaginative and full of surprises. Named Dallas Best Interior Designer 2012 by D Home, she loves combining vibrant colors, rich textures and her own special mojo to create stunning commercial and residential spaces.  A lady after my own heart I tell you!  And if her stunning spaces aren’t enough to catch your attention then let me direct you to her Shop!  Opened in 2008 to provide all of us with a piece of Abbe, her shop is a perfectly curated collection of everything your home needs (or rather desires).  I have literally spent hours working on my wish list which starts with these chairs and ends with table number one and two.  And since you’ve been asking make sure to check out her bar carts!  She’s got quite the selection, though my personal fave is this guy.

Abbe and I are working on a few collaborations that will be happening over the next few months I know you won’t want to miss, but in the mean time make sure to check out her blog to see all of the interiors she’s currently working on, and all of the new decor she’s constantly adding to her shop.  Happy Thursday Loves, truly MKR.

This post was sponsored by Studio Ten 25, however the opinions and Love is 100% my own.

Inspiring Exteriors

Even though I love our new home (which I do), I’ve got a plan.  Two years in this home while I plot and build our dream “forever” home.  And one of the most important aspects of our “forever” home will be the exteriors and outdoor living space.  So I’ve started gathering my Pins full of bermuda shutters, brick pavers, white exteriors with climbing ivy, and the most important piece…manicured lawns for outdoor entertaining.  What would your dream home look like?  Happy Friday Loves! truly, MKR
