Whether it’s in your kitchen, bathroom, home bar or outdoor space (the possibilities are literally endless), tile floor is an understandable prerequisite when designing any chic space. But it’s when bold, patterned, statement tiles make an appearance on bedroom walls and beyond the expected-subway-tile backsplashes that it really stops us in our tracks.
I’m personally always a sucker for Mediterranean and Moroccan tiles. It gives a worldly sophistication to otherwise simple spaces, and just enough romance for my taste. If you’re a fan of this boho look too, you’ll want to avoid a look that’s too thematic and gaudy with your furnishings. Accenting the space with clean lines and modern furnishings will keep the tiles as the true focal point of the room, with no distractions.
But if this roundup has taught me anything, it’s that sharp, small scale tiles can be just as intriguing and show-stopping. These tiles serve as textured alternatives to wallpaper and flooring, and can make even a small space have a big personality. Check out the slideshow above to see just what I’m talking about. Cheers, Kat

The things I would do for Mediterranean tile in my home! Love those calming blues.
I am such a fan of tile and have been on the hunt for similar tiles since I got back from Italy. I am not sure you can go to the Amalfi coast and not come back obsessed! Thank you for this post, who knew places like Amazon had options!
Kimberly I agree completely about Amalfi Coast…I’m now hooked for life! And I was so pleased to find the pretty Mediterranean patterns on Amazon too. Cheers friend! xo
