Did you know I love to shop?!  Shocking right?!  But what I really love is supporting and shopping my local Atlanta boutiques with a just touch of a button.

Recently I was introduced to a new-to-me app called House Account.  Have you heard of it?  House Account App is the largest independent boutique network in the United States.  It allows you to follow the boutiques you already love, and by following your friends and other House Account members, you’re also able to discover new shops and items you might not have otherwise heard about.

But the aspect I really love, is if you spy something you like, just click a button to chat with the staff to find out price, sizing, and everything else you need to know to hold the item and make the purchase. Plus House Account Concierge provides an on-demand personal shopping assistant for those times you have to shop for the person who has everything.

I can honestly say I’ve been using house account for about a month now and it’s changed the way I shop. Have you downloaded House Account App yet?  Truly, MKR

Heart Shaped Toll House Chocolate Chip Oreo Pies

toll house pietoll house pie

When moving to Atlanta last spring one of the first restaurants I had the luck of stumbling upon was Murphy’s.  It was love at first sight (wine shop) and bite (fried green tomato sandwich).  And then I ended my meal with their Toll House Pie.  OMG Toll House Pie. Probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.  It was a like an uber rich warm chocolate chip cookie, but in thick pie gooey goodness form.  I was hooked.

Once home I immediately Googled this ridiculous dessert and thankfully the Google God’s answered with numerous recipes.  However I chose the original from Murphy’s itself (found in their book Murphy’s: 30 Years of Recipes and More.)  And though the pie itself couldn’t get any better it could get cuter with these festive polka dot heart shaped paper cake pans.

So I hope you love the recipe as much as I do and of course happy Valentine’s Day Loves!  truly, MKR

Oreo Crust
  1. 1 Cup Oreo crumbs
  2. 1/4 Cup chopped walnuts
  3. 1/3 Cup un-salted butter
Toll House Pie
  1. 1 Cup brown sugar
  2. 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  3. 3/4 Cup bread flour
  4. 4 eggs
  5. 10 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  6. 2/3 Cup (5 oz) Nestle Semi Sweet Chocolate chips
  7. 1/2 Cup (5 oz) Nestle White Chocolate Chips
  8. 1/5 Cup (5 oz) chopped Walnut pieces
  9. 1/4 tsp of vanilla
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Crush Oreos (just the cookie, not the delicious center) in a food processor or a large mixing bowl. I didn’t feel like pulling the food processor out so I used the muddler from our bar. Add finely chopped walnuts (if you choose to leave these out just sub with additional Oreos) and melted butter, mix together.
  3. Press in to your heart pans, completely covering the bottom. You can use a traditional tart or pie pan as well, but when using this method make sure to grease your pan and layer the sides of the tart or pie pan as well as the bottom with Oreo.
  4. In a mixer add sugar and flour, mix with paddle attachment. Beat in eggs, melted butter, chocolate chips and nuts till throughly mixed.
  5. Add mixture evenly to your heart pans, filing almost to the very top. Pie will rise ever so slightly when cooking.
  6. Place heart pans on to a cookie sheet and place in to the oven. Bake at 250 for 90-110 minutes, or until tops are crusty and slightly golden brown. Stick a toothpick in the center to check for done-ness.
  7. Let cool for 5-10 minutes then devour still warm. I enjoy a little vanilla ice cream with mine of course.

House Hunting

Most people think house hunting is stressful.  I am not one of those people.  I love it, and everything that goes along with it.  The only problem is my idea of a perfect home doesn’t always fit my husband’s idea of the perfect price.  Case in point, 435 King Road Atlanta.  It has everything a family needs…amazing spaces, outdoor living, a wine cellar (obviously a must for me), I can’t help that my perfect home comes with a $10 million dollar price tag.  What’s a girl to do?  Once I’ve found that money tree I’ve been searching for the realtor can expect a call from us.  Happy weekend Loves.  xoxo

The backyard.  Can’t you just picture me lounging by the pool?  I mean it’s like this home was built for me.  Oh the grand parties I would throw.

Interior perfection, I wouldn’t change a thing…maybe the chandelier is a tad too small for the space, but other than that not a thing.

Loving the crisp white…just remove the cat from the kitchen please (sorry I’m not a cat person people).

How romantic is this master bedroom?  I’m dying over the ceilings!

Barn doors will be happening somewhere in some house that I own.  Love.

The beautiful aspect about living in the south is you literally get to be outside year round, so of course I need outside living!  Obvi.

I mean the television drops down from the ceiling?  Though I doubt I’d be watching Avatar, sorry James Cameron.

I would likely spill red wine on these gorgeous white couches, but I’m loving the Hermes lacquer tray.

As if the outside pool wasn’t enough, don’t worry there’s one inside.

This is all the hubs needed to see to sell him.  Don’t worry though if your husband isn’t a golfer the home also boasts an indoor gym, indoor basketball court, sauna, movie theater, pool table and man cave.
