For me this season it’s all about the hats…especially the baseball cap which makes me so happy since I wear baseball caps on a weekly basis. Though I’m loving that they’ve gotten a very fashion forward makeover for the season. Plus my favorite color (wine/oxblood/burgundy/bordeaux) keeps making an appearance. More than anything I love being cozy. Like bundled up with a blanket in front of a roaring fire while snow falls quietly outside and the red wine keeps flowing…that would be my definition of cozy. So probably more than anything, more than the shoes, and the bags, and the hats, when the weather turns crisp I gravitate towards my very favorite cooler weather piece…sweaters. And this year I’m so beyond thrilled to say that a closet staple of mine, the sweatshirt, has gotten a very fancy makeover which literally puts me over the moon. So here are my top picks…understand that I do sweaters that are pretty tame in comparison to the majority of wardrobe as I see them as a classic investment to be worn for years to come. Oh and though this one didn’t make the collage due to trying to find the right pic, it will end up in my closet. No question asked. TGIF Loves! truly, MKR.

…had a major case of envy. Envy is not an emotion I entertain too often. Quite frankly it’s pointless, and feeling and entertaining envy will get you no closer to what you’re actually being envious of (hint hard work usually will). But this week envy got the best of me. You see it’s New York Fashion Week. And I can’t scroll through Instagram or log on to Twitter without seeing a million NYFW images. Sigh. I was supposed to be at NYFW. But because of numerous things the stars just didn’t align and I couldn’t go. And I was sad, and angry, and envious, and stomping through the week, and basically I was being a brat. And then I remembered one of my biggest beliefs…wherever I am is exactly where I am supposed to be. And that simple thought brought me back down to reality, gave me grace, and helped me count my blessings (and start plotting my trip to NYFW in February).
