Looking back on Easter as a child, I remember how excited I was to dig through my Easter basket. Full of chocolate bunnies, malt ball Easter eggs, Peeps, golden coins, and my favorite Cadbury...
Lets be honest, salads can be boring. So I’m always trying to think outside of the box to come up with salad recipes that I’ll thoroughly enjoy, but are beyond easy to make. Enter...

Now that I finally have a bar cart of my own, I quickly realized that all of its bright pink decor and hints of summery pastels are a bit out of place near our holiday table. So I’m looking into the archives this week for quick tips to transform it with MKR’s holiday bar cart ideas.
With a few easy additions, your bar cart will be ready for fun-filled nights of holiday entertaining. Consider swapping out bright, summery colors for deep reds and evergreens. Invite a festive friend (we love this reindeer this year!) to join the cart, and consider using a holiday-inspired wine bucket instead of your standard ice bucket. And don’t forget a festive candle and matches. Cheers, Kat
P.S. We take holiday entertaining essentials pretty seriously here at WOM. Be sure to check them all out in our Holiday Collection in the Shop! xo

Whether you have a bar cart or an actual bar in your home, like most things when the seasons change so too should your bar. So today I wanted to provide a few helpful tips on making your bar ready for winter, plus we’ve teamed up with Studio Ten 25 to gift one of you lucky Loves a $250 gift card to make these cold weather changes an actual reality. I mean their gold bar cartand lucite tray would be insane under my Christmas tree. And well any bar would be winter ready simply by adding this. Happy Monday! truly, MKR.
Updating your Bar for Winter…
1. The main goal for all winter decorating is to bring warmth to a space in any way you can. An easy way to accomplish this is with the use of metallics. By adding a gold candle, gold coasters, and a copper pitcher filled with long matches my cart immediately felt more cold weather friendly.
2. Trade out your summertime libations for more winter appropriate ones. Think scotch, whiskey, bourbons, and red wines. Anything that brings warmth to your belly and keeps the frigid temperatures at bay.
3. Switch out decorative objects to be more in line with the season. For me that meant moving corks into a stag bowland flowers into a stag wine holder rather than the blue and white ginger jar patterned bowl and vase they used to be in.
4. The easiest way to add a cold weather feel is by incorporating animals. The antelope that adorns my wall from Studio Ten 25 transcends seasons, and during certain festive times I’ll even add a pom pom garland or wreath to his head.
So now that we know how we’re going to update your bar let’s get to the actual giveaway…
P.S. And if you’re looking for a winter cocktail may I suggest THIS.
The legal mumbo jumbo...this giveaway is open to US residents and will run through Sunday the 30th with our winner announced Monday the 1st. I’ve always been a fan of a great at-home bar. I strongly believe it’s a must-learn life skill to mix up classic cocktails, and as an avid host, it’s important to provide an array of libations for your guests at a moment’s notice.
Now more than ever, with the amount of time we’re spending at home, a great home bar has truly become a necessity. While I have a few bar carts and drink stations set up around my home, nothing has upgraded the experience quite like my recently acquired Field Bar, a collaboration betweenGarden & Gun and Blade and Bow.
This bar is unlike any you’ve ever seen. Handcrafted in York, South Carolina, by the father-son team at Leake Furniture Makers, this expandable bar is made from cherry wood and brass. When closed, you’d have no idea what treasures are held inside: four crystal rocks glasses, a bar set by Lost Cove Jewelry, a custom throw and a custom set of napkins, both in Blade and Bow plaid. It’s also equipped with plenty of drawers and compartments to stow your other cocktail accouterments.
A true showstopper, the Field Bar reminds me of antique curio cabinets—the kind you would fold out to sit down and pen a letter. This is a true piece of art, but one that can travel. (When we’re allowed to travel again, that is).
If you’re looking for a last-minute holiday gift that’s sure to wow, put the Field Bar on your list. And don’t forget to add a bottle of Blade and Bow Bourbon as spirits aren’t included! Truly, MKR
