Friday Musts, Lusts & Loves

Happy Friday Loves!  I’m starting a new tradition, Friday Musts, Lusts and Loves.  A way to share with you all what I’ve been obsessing over all week in one perfectly packaged post for Pining, plotting and inspiring a delightful weekend.  Phew that’s a lot of P’s.  Anyway, I’d love if you shared with me what you’ve been swooning over all week!  xoxo

LOVE…Dessert styling is HUGE now.  And while I love dessert tables and all that jazz they are often focused on kid themed events and weddings.  Being that I don’t have kids and already planned a wedding it leaves me extremely impressed with all of the stylists talents, but a tad underwhelmed.  So when I spied this Hermes Dessert Table over on Sugar Chic Designs I fell in complete love.  Classic-stylish-orange-perfection.  Ugh, still swooning.

LUST…as most of you know I’m decorating a new home.  And my latest interior obsession is ghost chairs and anything lucite.  Though not new to the design scene the classic chair has been around for who knows how long, but so many other edgy pieces are also calling my name.  I love the unexpected twist these pieces give to a more classic design.  I’m especially obsessed with the orange color, again with the orange…obsessed.

MUST…these green spotted brocade pants from ASOS.  They look bright and edgy, but don’t be scared.  Mine just arrived and I’m obsessed.  Simple black cami, black blazer, major necklace and some fun heels and you are good to go.  I also adore THESE from J.Crew but ASOS has a much friendly price tag.

Easter’s Best

A Feminine & Fancy Outfit for Easter Sunday

Black skirt and detailed top make a perfect Easter outfit | waitingonmartha.com Easter's Best, a timelessly chic outfit | waitingonmartha.com Block wedge pumps | waitingonmartha.comV back detailed top and black skirt | waitingonmartha.com Black top with tiny yellow bows and Karen Walker sunglasses | waitingonmartha.comBlack midi skirt and top | waitingonmartha.com

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…sometimes I just want to indulge my feminine side when dressing up. And what better way to do that then with a skirt that twirls and and a top with tiny yellow bows?  When considering my outfit for Easter Sunday this year, I knew this would be the perfect look.

The skirt, for one, has pockets (!), and that is a detail I’ve come to demand in a structured midi skirt because it really just makes the piece 1000x better. But I really just adore the fit and flare vibe it has too; the skirt‘s silhouette is playful, yet flattering on just about every body type.  And paired with the skirt, this deep V blouse is utterly charming.  While it IS demure with its girly bows, the deep V back gives it just that little bit of edge and surprise.  It can easily be worn during the day and at night; I’ll be wearing it for both work and special occasions.

Both of these items are from the new-to-me clothing brand, Worth New York.  Friends, have you heard of it?  I recently discovered it and I have to tell you; I’m SO impressed with the high, high quality of the pieces in its collection. And perhaps my favorite part is that all of the versatile pieces can be worn separately, stretching them farther in your wardrobe and making them truly timeless (you know I love that). I wore this outfit when I recently spoke at ADAC for Digital Day, and no joke, I was stopped over a dozen times with people asking me, ‘where’d you get that?’ We’re sharing more looks from Worth New York‘s collection later this week, but go ahead and mark your calendars for a trunk show I’m co-hosting to see all of the fabulous pieces (and drink champagne) on Saturday, April 2. More details to come!  Truly, MKR

P.S. These shoes are SUPER comfortable because of the wedge heel.  Like any pair by Loeffler Randall, I can literally wear them all day.  xo
