The Haunting Season, Waiting On MarthaHalloween

Okay I admit it, I’m not a huge fan of Halloween.  I’m a fan just not a huge fan.  I like the candy, the kids costumes (I don’t do costumes) and the haunting side of it all, but if I’m being honest it runs a little too close to my favorite holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) to get my full attention.  However, I do like that Halloween kicks of the holiday season, it does fall during my absolute favorite season fall, and I’ve been known to love a skull motif, so this year I’m trying to get a little more in the spirit.  Happy Haunting Loves!  Truly, MKR

P.S.  See this shoot in its entirety complete with Halloween recipes right HERE and we’re offering 20% off ALL Halloween for the next 48 hours in The Shop code HAUNTED at checkout.

Friday Musts, Lusts & Loves

Happy Friday Loves!  So here’s what I’ve been obsessing over, and Pinning all week…what are you loving?  xoxo

LOVE…So by this picture you’d think I’m simply sharing a gorgeous interior and snakeskin accent table, which I am.  But shockingly this ridiculously fantastic snakeskin table is an all too easy DIY.  That’s right, its a Do-It-Yourself by Recently The Blog!  Cannot.Handle.It.  Love the table, love her, love the blog…Recently, you officially have a stalker!

MUST…Halloween.  I personally love Halloween not because of the costume (sorry I don’t dress up, this is about as festive as you’ll see my outfit get), but because it represents my favorite season of fall and also the beginning of the holiday season.  I love NOTHING more than the holiday season.  I start listening to Christmas music in October.  Boom.  Anyway if you don’t get your festive on with Halloween then I feel your holiday spirit will simply suffer.  For example in the Martha household I’m sending this snail mail, DIY’ed these pumpkins, and my whole house smells like this.   I’m also loving on this cake, these apples, plus this DIY.  Oh that glitter will be happening.

P.S. There may or may not be a Halloween sale happening over in the Shop this weekend!

LUST…I saw this pic of Kristin Van Ogtrop, editor of Real Simple magazine, ages ago and I was immediately smitten.  So when it came time to figure out what I was going to do with the front stairs I traded my disdain for an 80″ television for the Mr.’s disdain of leopard and we reached a mutual concession.  Leopard was happening, and we now have a television that takes up an entire wall.  Leopard stair runner.  Enough said.
