A few weeks ago while perusing some of my favorite blogs I saw the most amazing necklace.  Or was it a scarf?  Who knew?  All I knew is I wanted it, but with time being what time is (a thief), I simply pinned the image and moved on with my day.  Then I saw it again (a different design, but I knew it had to be the same).  So I took this as a sign from the universe and clicked over to Mignonne Gavigan.  MG is the insanely talented creator of these amazing scarf necklaces that I am now lusting, coveting, wish listing, obsessing, etc, etc, over.  Not only are they some of the most exquisite pieces I’ve laid my eyes on in awhile, they’re so original, which is hard to come by these days.  Plus they would go perfectly with my uniform of boyfriend shirts and jeans.  Now the questions, which one?  truly, MKR

During a recent interview I was asked what my everyday wardrobe essentials are?  And while I wanted to say “Louboutins and LBDs of course” that’s just not my reality.  Between the shop, the blog, and styling which often has me trekking through who-knows-what-wilderness-to-get-the-perfect-shot my reality is much more, well…grounded in reality.  So if we’re telling truths my everyday essentials can be boiled down to six items.

Button down boyfriend shirts, hats, silky shorts or pants, layered jewelry, a large bag, and the perfect shoe.  The perfect shoe is really the key.  A few months ago while in Dallas I was introduced to Yosi Samra which have quickly become my go-to.  The Corey sandals (pictured above) have barley left my feet all summer and once the weather begins to turn I know the same will be said about the Preslie (I have them in neutral but how beautiful is the white?).  And the fold up flats are stashed in my gym bag, car, and travel carry on so whenever I do wear my 5 inch heels and they start to take their toll I have a quick fix.  So Loves, I’d love to hear what are your everyday essentials?  truly, MKR

…loved all over Fresh Love’s new wedding invitation line.  Especially The Hostess and The Mysterious suite.  So good!

…decided this DIY was a must for any bedside table (with WOM goodies included of course)!

…restocked some bestselling pineapples, napkins, binders, vases, and starbursts.

…felt blue and white calling my name to visit Portugal’s second city.

…shopped the Nordstrom anniversary sale and snagged my go-to sweater (I wore it in grey all last year), the perfect pink palette, and some shoes for the Mr.

…asked for your help in choosing the next Occasions Magazine cover.

…crossed several cities off the list, and planned for more.

…still swooning over the love we received from Southern Living Magazine.

…agreed with OKL on a few wine country faves.

…added lots of new goodies to The Shop including a quickly becoming cult classic candle.

…swooned over IHOD’s pics from 30A.  

…thought about butter.  Yum!

…attended the most fabulous garden party at Hunted Interior’s casa.

…scored a dress I’ve been stalking on MAJOR sale plus this one for good measure.

…started planning for 2015 with these 17 month kate spade new york planners (they begin in August and run through 2015).

…played hookie today and escaped to the lake for some much needed R&R.  TGIF Loves!  truly, MKR
