Essential Number Three: the shirt dress.  You know how I love my button down boyfriend shirts and these dresses are a fun, feminine take while the light cotton makes it perfect for summer.  There’s also a great pink one.

Essential Number Four:  a statement necklace.  Statement necklaces shouldn’t distract from your outfit, but simply they should add to it.  I love a long one like this bee, which allows me to layer with my other shorter necklaces.

With the holiday weekend upon us, it’s time to break out those summer whites and celebrate the season of sun.  And I couldn’t think of any better way than by partnering with one of our favorite brands, Ann Taylor, and sharing my essential warm weather pieces to carry me through the weekend. 

Essential one: a white sweater.  Dressed up with a skirt, or paired with shorts for a more casual look, a lightweight sweater should be a staple in everyone’s summer closet.  I loved this one so much I also grabbed it’s striped sister version, because stripes are never a bad idea.

Essential two: wedges.  I love a great heel, there’s no denying that, but I don’t love the pain that my beautiful heels often bring.
