Running Around

An Easy, Comfortable Outfit To See Me Through a Busy Day

There’s no “calm before the storm” around here; I’m in overdrive running around town prepping for Thanksgiving this year.  On crazy days like these, I reach for a few tried-and-true favorites in my wardrobe to layer on and tackle my never-ending to-do list.

While I will always love a good lounge sesh in my favorite yoga pants, there’s something to be said for pulling yourself together for those errands that find you nowhere near the gym. It’s all too easy to reach for yoga pants before going to the grocery and meeting a friend for coffee, but I’ve found that pulling together a comfortable, styled look always feels better.

This outfit is made up of pieces that are all comfortable, and the pieces can see me through the busy day.  I seriously could live in a pair of boyfriend jeans, and you’ve seen me pull out this wool hat more often than I can count.  My black Givenchy bag of course, was an investment, but as I’m rounding out my sixth year of owning it, I can say the bag has only gotten better with age.  The new addition to the mix though, are my colorblock peep-toe booties.  They are not only so comfortable, they’re very affordable for their high-end look. And needless to say they nail “winter whites” at their best!  Truly, MKR

Around Town With The Frye Company Day Two

The Best Southern Stomping Grounds in My New Fryes

Yesterday you joined me as I toured around a few of my favorite Atlanta haunts in a pair of classic Fryes and an elevated take on black cowboy boots as part of The Frye Company’s #TheFRYELife City Guide. As a wearer of Fryes for almost a decade, I appreciate boots that are comfortable, timeless and well made. My rugged Campus boots will always be a favorite of mine, but it’s funny how I find myself reaching for a pair of cowboy boots after living in the South for a few years!

For those times I’m looking for a low, edgier boot, I now turn to this pair of buckled booties. The Frye Company’s Ray Belted Bootie is a pair that I know I’ll be rocking for years to come, with its sharp side belted details and antiqued flair.  It’s a great transitional and incredibly versatile pair that won’t run you the risk of looking generic.

Naturally, I love any excuse to visit my favorite locales around town (Northside Tavern for live blues, Inman Park for a King of Pops popsicle (Key Lime Pie is my favorite), Chattahoochee Coffee Company and Star Provisions for a treat) and it’s always more fun when I can show off a pair of kicks, especially if those kicks are Fryes. Truly, MKR

P.S. For more scenes from my Southern stomping grounds, follow along this Saturday and Sunday when I’ll be taking over The Frye Company’s Instagram. xo
