Art Ideas

In decorating my first home I’ve learned a lot of things, the biggest being that I’m just beginning to scratch the surface on what my design aesthetic is.  A big part of that journey has been choosing what to hang on my walls.  And quite frankly, adding art to your home can be a tad daunting.  Mainly because I don’t think there’s no greater of  a personal statement about who a person is creatively than what they choose to hang on their walls.  And honestly people are VERY opinionated when it comes to art.

Here’s my two cents…don’t worry about what you know or don’t know about art, just buy what you love, what makes you feel.  Your home should be filled with what you actually love, not what you’re “supposed” to love (this mantra holds true for just about anything…what you choose to wear, who you choose to marry, etc).  So with that being said, check out my art ideas above; and what are you loving lately?  xoxo

Lonny Magazine

I am so beyond thrilled to be sharing my feature in the one and only Lonny Magazine!  If you aren’t familiar with Lonny they are THE digital magazine for all things interior design.  Just browse through their current and back issues and you’ll get lost in all of their spaces and places, plus covet just about everything they’re talking about.  I’ve been following Lonny since their launch so when they wanted to feature WOM in their March issue I literally almost passed out.  The full article is above, and you can find all the links to everything I’m currently coveting (or rather decorating my home with) in the mag itself.

On a personal note…big thanks to Rustic White for providing my pic, and always making me look better on paper than I do in real life.  To Gray Malin for creating such beautiful art.  And to Meredith Heron who originally introduced me to the Thibaut Tanzania wallpaper that now hangs in my office.  This blog, and Waiting On Martha as a whole, has introduced me to so many fantastic people and opportunities like this that make me feel beyond blessed and thankful for all those I connect with and draw inspiration from.

“Life is short…so why not follow your dreams?”

Happy reading Loves, xoxo.
