Lavender Ginger Melon Salad Al Fresco Dinner Recipes to Try: Summer Melon Salad with Lavender & Ginger Melon Salad with Lavender & Ginger Simple SyrupSummer Melon Salad recipe

Compared to its fruity counterparts, melon can sometimes get a bad rap at the table.  But I’m here to tell you this Lavender Ginger Melon Salad puts those mediocre melon balls to shame.  With this fresh and seasonal recipe from our friends at Homespun, lavender and ginger simple syrup is poured over a melon medley, creating a delightful treat for your taste buds, all to be garnished with fresh mint.

Serve this summer melon salad as a light start to your meal or enjoy as a healthy dessert at the end of a lovely evening al fresco.  And I’ll be taking Chef Jason’s advice and saving the simple syrup for our next bourbon libation as well. Cheers!  Truly, MKR

Hot Dogs.  Now what would the Fourth of July be without them (and who knew they could line up so pretty all in a row!)? If you’re like me, you’ll agree that the magic is really all in the toppings.  And though there won’t be any toppings at Coney Island this year, we’re whipping out all of the garnishes at home.  So just in time for the holiday weekend, I give you five delicious hot dog recipes to serve up and enjoy (hopefully on the lake with a drink in hand).  From top to bottom, behold the Sauerkraut & Apple Dog, Mexican Dog, Chili Dog, Chicago Dog, and the Collard Green Coleslaw Dog.  Enjoy!  Truly, MKR

Whether you’re a long time reader or new to WOM, you’ll know that we’re serious about our entertaining game, especially when it involves some twinkle lights and warm summer nights.  There’s really nothing quite like summer entertaining.

So when PAMA Liqueur invited me to show them how I celebrate summer, I said sign me up.  I got to taste-testing and mixing with its pomegranate liqueur, and knew I had just the tasty libation to serve at a summer party.  And many of you know that I love to get creative with my margaritas, but I must say that these Pomegranate Margaritas may just be my best yet.  The Pomegranate Liqueur brings you the most refreshing flavor for your summertime sippin’, and when it’s combined with the tequila, lime and agave, it really just can’t be beat.

PAMA wants to bring your entertaining dreams to life this summer (think delicious cocktails, tasty bites and all your favorites under twinkle lights). Simply share how you would celebrate summer in PAMA Liqueur’s Celebrate Summer contest for a chance to win $250 or $500 plus a party kit for a summer soiree of your own.  Let’s just say that this contest has our name written all over it, and we’ll be busy pinning entertaining inspiration all summer long!  Truly, MKR
