If you had pangs of wanderlust and beach-vacay-or-bust thoughts after reading about our magical trip to Caneel Bay Resort on St. John, you’re not alone. While we can’t pack our bags to go back right this minute, we decided the next best thing was to toast to plans for the next girls’ trip on the beautiful beaches on St. John with a few BBC cocktails.

While paying homage to the original with just a few WOM twists, our BBC cocktail recipe will no doubt become your new go-to tropical sip. And if you’re still wondering just what is a BBC cocktail, it stands for “Bailey’s Banana Colada” and it’d be hard to find a more perfect frozen drink when you’re beachside or poolside.  Since we can’t be either today, we’re whipping up this sweet island concoction with a little Bailey’s Irish Cream, pina colada and rum, kicking back and closing our eyes to pretend we’re still in the Caribbean. Extra sunshine points for serving them in our Shop’s pineapple tumblers! Cheers!  Truly, MKR

Pretty in Pink Grapefruit, Elderflower & Rosemary Vodka Cocktail

Pucker Up with This Mouth-Watering Grapefruit Cocktail by Project Sip

Well guys, our friends at Project Sip have really done it again; this time serving up a mouth-watering grapefruit cocktail with rosemary.  If you’re looking for the perfect, light sip to pucker up to this Valentine’s Day, look no further.

The taste and tartness of grapefruit can stand alone in cocktail for some, but as Jenn and Kathryn have proven with Pretty in Pink, grapefruit plays wonderfully with the sweet and aromatic notes of St. Germain Elderflower.  St. Germain is one of our favorite ways to liven up a cocktail—it’s always just the perfect amount of sweet—and it certainly doesn’t disappoint in this recipe. As for the final touch: a hint of woodsy, fresh rosemary to garnish (which looks beautiful in its simplicity, doesn’t it?). Cheers, Kat

Vegan Frozen Chocolate with Crushed Chia Seeds, Peanut Butter & Bananas

A Zero-Guilt Sweet Treat That's Incredibly Easy to Make
Filed Under > Breakfast & Brunch

Vegan Chocolate Shake with Peanut Butter & Bananas Vegan Chocolate Shake

With “New Year New You” in full-effect (can I get an amen?), I’m reaching for any sweet treats when the craving hits, but without those dreaded calories (probably not my boozy coconut chocolate ice cream sundae this time, sadly).  And my biggest indulgence to battle is ice cream, shakes, and sundaes.  So with ice cream on the brain, I began thinking about how good a smooth, creamy chocolate milkshake would be. Surely there’s a way to turn this classic indulgence into a healthy(ish) treat at home?? Enter my vegan frozen chocolate shake.

Made by simply combining chocolate almond milk (it’s heavenly), crushed chia seeds, half a banana, a dollop of peanut butter, ice, and a quick swirl in the Vitamix, my take on the classic chocolate shake will not disappoint, and it will quickly tame any sweet tooth.  And for all of you that prefer a richer chocolate taste, freeze the chocolate almond milk into large ice cubes the night before.  That way, you won’t need to add any standard ice cubes, but you’ll still get that creamy frozen milkshake texture.  Truly, MKR

P.S.  If you’re not familiar with Chia Seeds, I suggest picking up a bag.  They are incredibly healthy, practically tasteless, and they add a great crunch when used as a topping. They practically melt into any smoothie you can mix up.
