You know, it’s really been a long time coming. Collaborating with one of our favorite nontoxic beauty brands, One Love Organics, was simply a no-brainer. The entire WOM Team is a group of devout OLO fangirls if we’re being honest here. It’s one of those brands that we keep coming back to; we believe in the products that much, and it’s a small business that we’re proud to support as we’ve gotten to know the team over the years. Not to mention, every product is practically irresistible, with gentle, miracle-working ingredients and heavenly scents (and beautiful packaging to boot).
If you can’t tell how much we’re drinking the Kool-Aid over here, this will surely hit it home. Today I’m beyond thrilled to debut an exciting collaboration with OLO…I compiled all of my favorite products in two fantastic (and extremely giftable…hint, hint) sets: MKR’s Daily Essentials Kit and my Holiday Survival Kit.
I break ’em down just why they’re on my list of must-haves, so be sure to check it out below. We’re also selling the full-size versions of all of our most used OLO products, in case you’re already hooked and want your fix on your favorites as well. Tell me friends, have you welcomed nontoxic skincare into your routine? Truly, MKR

An exciting and irresistible new product from One Love Organics, the Skin Dew offers feather-light moisture that absorbs quickly into the skin. I like to apply it after my Morning Glory serum, underneath my makeup. It smells, of course, divine.
Skin Savior really is a wonder balm. It’s amazing at removing dirt and makeup, without leaving my skin dry. Full of antioxidants, the balm smells amazing and can be used just about everywhere. No seriously, right now with the cold weather, I’m applying it directly to my nose, and I even use it on my heels! You don’t need a lot when applying, so a little goes a long way.
Perhaps my favorite product of the bunch: Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover. This bestseller and award-winner restores skin with its natural moisture barrier and pH balance. I love that the oil is designed with dry, dehydrated skin in mind, but it’s concentrated enough for all skin types. And again, it smells wonderful.
The oil can be used alone or as the perfect first step in any double cleansing routine. I like to keep mine next to my bed for the time I may indulge at a holiday party and still need a fresh face (but am too lazy to wash it…ha!).
I think everyone was lectured on the importance of a good eye cream. Friends, this is it. The Vitamin E Eye Balm is made of a lovely blend of rich, hydrating ingredients like Vitamin E, organic shea butter and pomegranate and sea kelp.
My favorite part about this eye balm? I only need to buy one per year; it lasts forever! When applying, I lightly pat around my eye with my ring finger – every night and sometimes during the day if I’m really feeling the elements.
A lot of other cleansers dry my skin (and clear out my skin’s natural defenses apparently, too). This gentle foaming cleanser does just the opposite; it’s a soothing, non-drying foam that makes my skin feel soft and clean.
It’s multi-tasking too…works on face, body and even hair. And like all One Love Organics products, the fragrance is light, subtle and lovely.
Waiting On Martha + One Love Organics Essentials Kit
I’m beyond excited to partner with our favorite organic beauty brant to create my Everyday Essentials Kit. This is honestly what I use every sing day, morning and night, these products are my essentials. And how cute is the little LOVE makeup bag it comes in!!
Set Includes: Mini gentle foaming cleanser, morning glory caffeinated serum, skin dew water coconut cream, vitamin e eye balm, and a LOVE bag.
Another multi-tasker from One Love Organics, this superfine exfoliator is activated by water. When applied, it gently sloughs off dead skin, clarifying and smoothing while it’s at it. I’ve found that Brand New Day gives me a brighter complexion when I use it regularly as both a masque and a scrub.
Its ingredients include organic sweet pea flour, pineapple enzymes and mineral rich kaolin clay.
The holidays are here and between the parties and the late nights our skin needs all the help it can get. Enter our holiday survival kit. The skin survivor is perfect for tired feet, a running nose, and all of that itchy winter skin. The Vitamin B cleanser; well let’s just say I leave it on my nightstand in case I’m a bit too tired to make my way to the bathroom to properly wash my face. It’s truly a life saver. Obsessed!!
A rinse-able scrub like none other, Vitamin C body polish features an ultra-concentrated combination of vitamin C ester, aloe, shea, and raw organic sugar crystals to deeply exfoliate and hydrate for supremely soft, luminous skin. And bonus: it smells Ah.Mah.Zing!!

One of my favorite things about having my WOM family is experiencing the girls’ milestones with them; it’s fun to feel the feels all over again. Whether they’re getting out of grad school, going through the angst of love, traveling abroad or simply saving for the future, seeing them grow is a reward all in of itself. Like any boss or mentor, I find myself playing the role as sounding board for a handful of hopes and fears, and I try to give my two-cents and advice whenever I can.
So when Capital One reached out, wanting to talk navigating the financial side of car buying, my ears perked up with Kat in mind. Sure, auto loans are something we all get to know at some point or other when buying a new car, but I knew they’d especially be important to Kat right now. As WOM’s Editorial Director, she’s in her late twenties and has recently found herself with her first car out of college, totally paid-off. The first go-around, she had her mom to help her navigate the steps and jargon. And this go-around, she wants to take the process into her own hands, but she’s hesitant on how to move forward. And I mean hesitant; we’ve been talking about it for almost a year now.
I was quick to understand though; car buying can be really stressful. In a decision where you should feel 100% in control, you usually don’t. And I know I certainly felt my hands were tied many times when discussing my options for the loan pay-off. So that’s why I was intrigued to read that Capital One offers an Auto Navigator tool that lets you “test drive” all of the different options for your loan; make and model, term length and most importantly…price.
I did a little digging before sharing with Kat; my father and the Mr. have both taught me something about car buying, and research ahead of time is ALWAYS key. I was pleased to find that you can use the free Auto Navigator tool on your laptop or phone (in your pajamas at home in peace) to search for your dream car based on payment and APR info. And to get started and pre-qualified, you won’t get dinged on your credit score (which is always a good thing). My favorite part is that you can modify and personalize the financing terms before you even get to the dealership…because, seriously, who likes to negotiate that kind of stuff at the dealership? But why I really love this tool, is the before you even get there part I just mentioned. Because if you’re anything like me (hands up) you may let common sense escape you when the prospect of something bright and shiny is on the horizon.
Along with the Auto Navigator tool, I felt we would be amiss if we didn’t share a few other practical tips when looking to make this, or any major financial decision.
One. First things first; before making any financial decision, have an honest conversation with yourself about your personal financial situation. Understand how much you truly can afford in a monthly payment and how that monthly payment will realistically fit in with your other bills.
Two. Do your research, especially if you’re buying used. For a new car, price out your car with all of the bells and whistles, and make sure to ask at least three dealers for the the best price they can give you. For a used car, make sure you understand through research any issues your car type has had in the past and do some digging for fair market value numbers. Also, if buying used, stay away from any cars with CVT; continuously variable transmission. According to numerous manufacturers and experts in their field, this is a system that can be faulty and may lead to trouble down the road.
Three. Lastly, remember that car dealerships are a business, and they need to make a profit to survive. Don’t be afraid to negotiate, but if you get a fair deal for the car you love, then go with it.
Tell me friends, are any of you in the same boat? Have you had a great experience with financing your dream car? We’d love to know! Truly, MKR

Have you ever heard the statement, “you are what you eat”? Maybe you’ve done something about it, but maybe you haven’t. I’m right there with you; only recently did I finally take heed to what that statement meant for my body (i.e. my skin, my digestion, my energy levels, my overall mood)…and I’ve had several come-to-Jesus moments with myself since then. See, I’ve no newbie to eating healthy, but I have also never held myself to true standards when it came to eating seasonally and locally. I’ve always been that girl whipping through the grocery aisles to grab the produce that’s convenient and easy in that moment.
So with a new focus on just what exactly I’m putting in my body, I knew that the first place to start was eating what’s in season. But with that, came understanding what’s truly local to me, and in turn, what’s sustainable for my community and its economy. It all began to feel a bit overwhelming and confusing, so I set out to find the basics on seasonal eating and how to do it like it’s second nature.
Fortunately, it’s easier to figure it how to eat seasonally than I thought. Below, I’ve listed a few simple, effective ways to ensure that you’re eating the best of the best, all year ’round. After reading, I’d love to hear your tips and resources when you’re eating seasonally! Cheers, Kat
No. 1…Pay Attention at the Grocery Store. You can look around your produce aisles and tell what’s in season by what’s in abundance (and usually what’s on sale!). You’ll do best by keeping your eyes peeled for dramatic fluctuations in prices, and you’ll benefit by saying no to those berries that just took a huge price jump.
No. 2…Do a Little Research. There are also great sites like Sustainable Table that take the guesswork out of it for you; it allows you to search by your state, season or produce to see what’s in season where you are. For example, in late October, here in Tennessee, we have apples, arugula, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, cucumber, kale, pears, peppers, pumpkins, radishes and sweet potatoes in season.
No. 3…Seek Out Your Local Farmer’s Market. Another easy way to ensure that you’re eating seasonally is by buying locally at your farmer’s market. I’ve talked about the beauty of farmer’s markets before, and luckily I have a few great ones near me. If you’re not sure about your own, this site helps you find farmer’s markets around you, as well as pin-point restaurants that put a focus on serving only local, organic, seasonal and sustainable food. Which is so great, because I’ve been reading about why eating organic food matters for your health and wellness, and I don’t want to sacrifice the health benefits when I go out to eat on date night.
No. 4…Sign Up for a CSA. By signing up for a subscription delivery (or pick-up) produce service, you’re ensuring that you’re eating what’s being grown in your area, days before it’s on your table. I recently had the privilege of touring one of Fresh Harvest‘s local partnering farms outside Atlanta, and it was a delight to see where some of the produce comes from that makes it in members’ weekly boxes.
No. 5…Grow Your Own Food. Even if this just means an indoor herb garden, growing your own food will put the right emphasis back on what should be on the table right now. Not to mention, it’s extremely satisfying to grow and harvest your own ingredients!
