I’ve always been a fan of a great at-home bar. I strongly believe it’s a must-learn life skill to mix up classic cocktails, and as an avid host, it’s important to provide an array...
Looking back on Easter as a child, I remember how excited I was to dig through my Easter basket. Full of chocolate bunnies, malt ball Easter eggs, Peeps, golden coins, and my favorite Cadbury...
Lets be honest, salads can be boring. So I’m always trying to think outside of the box to come up with salad recipes that I’ll thoroughly enjoy, but are beyond easy to make. Enter...

…couldn’t stop reading the January/February issue of Lonny Mag.
…learned how to print on washi tape thanks to Allison Kreft (love to KC Bakes for bringing it to my attention). P.S. you can get all sorts of washi goodness HERE.
…continued my obsession with zebras. Wait till you see ALL of the zebra goodness coming to the boutique this spring.
Every year the Mr. and I hit the slopes for a week of seclusion, skiing and hot toddies. Well if you read my post last Friday you’d know that this is the first in eights years that a ski vacation wasn’t in the cards, (insert tear here). So when Occasion Magazinereached out about a winter dinner party I thought if I can’t go to the mountains I’ll just bring them to me.
Teaming up again with my two favorite photogs Robert and Tiffany of Rustic White we ascended on to Ecco Atlanta on a sunny Saturday afternoon and transformed it into a cozy mountainside chalet. With rich velvet curtains, a plethra of plaids, fresh evergreens, and rustic elements everywhere all that was left to add was snow.
Happy Monday loves! xoxo
Don’t be afraid to mix plaids and patterns, nothing is worse than matchy-matchy elements.
To keep champagne cold and to add a pop of color I simply skewered cranberries, froze them overnight, and popped a skewer in each glass of bubbly before the guests arrived.
Mercury glass was the perfect way to add warmth to the table and counterbalance all of the masculine rustic pieces.

Well it’s that time of year again. The time where we’re all taking stock of 2012 and making grand plans for 2013. A time where everything is new, and anything seems possible. A new day, a new year, a new Waiting On Martha.
If you’ve been following me on this journey over the past year you may have figured out that I had no idea what I was doing (read the whole story here). I launched the blog, the Etsy shop, the boutique based on nothing more than intuition and the desire to do what I love. To my shock and awe you all embraced me and Waiting On Martha with open arms. And the more you loved, the more I planned. Fast forward to present day, and voila…I give you the new look of Waiting On Martha.
Though I would love to take credit for all of her beauty, alas I cannot. I had the vision, and the incredibly talented Hanna Seabrook of Gadabout Creative brought that vision to life. On a personal side note to Hanna, words cannot express how grateful I am for all of your creative genius. I adore it all, truly adore it all!
So my loves, I don’t know what 2013 will bring, but I know at this very moment I’m where I need to be. I’m doing work that I need to be doing. And I’m building a life I love living. So thank you to all who’ve supported me in 2012, and I truly cannot wait to see what 2013 will bring! xoxo
P.S. A couple months ago I collaborated with Dina from Deliciously Darling Events on a Valentine’s Day “All You Need Is Love” photo shoot for Occasions Magazine. There are so many gorgeous pics I’ll be sharing with you soon (you can download the digital version for free in the Apple store), but this one just perfectly captures my feelings and hopes for the new year so I couldn’t wait!
