Last week, I shared a casual cool California, wine country themed table perfect for those authentic meals during the week. The time spent around a table when there’s nothing to celebrate other than good food, in my opinion, are oftentimes the most cherished moments of all. In Part II of our casual dining series with World Market, I created a rustic table for a simplified dining experience that is another must for your everyday entertaining arsenal.
When I imagine serving a tempting everyday Italian meal, I strive for anything but generic. Dishes that satisfy, wine that warms the belly all on an arcadian tablescape seems only appropriate, and it’s a welcome change to your midweek dinner routine. Start with an incredibly doable cheese platter, fresh light past with hand-picked herbs, and wine, lots and lots of wine.
By mixing elements, both old and new, this table revolves around rustic woods, rich textures and an approachable menu easy to whip up with ingredients you’re likely to have on hand. Having just gotten back from trip, with no florals on hand, I set the mood by bringing the outside in. A miniature olive and rosemary tree alongside fresh oregano and basil from my garden, woven among candlesticks with varying height, the greenery offers a welcome flavor and added interest to the woodsy tablescape. All in all this authentic combination will be the perfect chance to share a little quality time with family and friends. Enjoy! Truly, MKR
P.S. I said it before and I’ll say it again: World Market’s casual dining game is strong. Be on the lookout for more casual entertaining inspiration next week and make sure to check out their Blog to see additional pics and recipes. xo
Hello! We are table searching and I stumbled upon this post via Pinterest. Where did you get your table from? It’s gorgeous!
I am so in love with the artwork above the table- any chance you know where it came from or who it was made by? It is just captivating!
