It’s funny how certain tastes and smells will always bring you back. Hot chocolate is one of those for me; I’m instantly transported back to Christmastime when I was little, when I then too reveled in the first signs of the holidays, and eagerly opened the boxes on our advent calendar.
GODIVA was the holy grail of chocolate for my mom when I was growing up. It was always considered a big treat to have the box of chocolates and hot chocolate in the house to celebrate any occasion. And I knew when my mom heated the stove with that warm chocolatey goodness that it was almost time for Santa to come.
My mom’s love for GODIVA hasn’t changed over the years; it’s still her favorite to this day. So naturally I thought of her recently when I had a cup of GODIVA‘s creamy and decadent hot chocolate in-store. It instantly brought me back to being little and celebrating the holidays at home, with so many warm and fuzzy memories with my mom and dad. After finishing every drop of my hot chocolate and a few gift sets later, I was on my way home with enough chocolate to last me through the new year. I invited Mom over to decorate the Christmas tree, and as we sorted through ornaments and tinsel, we shared cups of hot chocolate and reminisced about Christmases past. Tell me loves, what holiday treat brings you back? Truly, MKR
P.S. As I was leaving the GODIVA store, I was excited to learn that they’re spreading cheer and giving back this season by teaming up with Toys for Tots to warm both hearts and hands this season. Visit GODIVA stores through Dec. 15th, and for every cup of hot chocolate purchased, $1 will go to children in need. xo
This looks so delicious!
