Looking For A Few Good Interns

Waiting On Martha is Hiring

What better way to welcome the weekend than with some exciting news that has our office buzzing.  We’re looking for a few good interns to join our growing team.  One, a production intern, will be here in Atlanta assisting yours truly with just about anything and everything that goes in to making WOM tick.  The other, a social media intern, located in Nashville will be assisting WOM’s Editor and Social Media Director navigating the world that is social.  While both of these positions are un-paid internships, they both have a good chance of becoming paid positions in the near future.  So are you ready to join our small circle of crazy (like good crazy, but a tad crazy none the less)?  Check out all the details below and we look forward to hearing from you.  Truly, MKR

Production Intern
Location: Atlanta, GA
Compensation: Unpaid, but potential to grow into a paid position. School credit is available if applicable.
Hours: 10-20, flexible

Responsibilities: We are seeking a hands-on production intern to help us with the ins and outs of running Waiting on Martha in Atlanta. This position will include basic administrative and personal assistant tasks, order fulfillment, managing shop inventory, responding to customer requests and some occasional on-site assistance for styled and editorial photoshoots.

While this is an unpaid internship, there is a possibility of it becoming an hourly, paid-position as Waiting On Martha continues to grow. You’ll be working directly with the Founder and Creative Director, Mandy Kellogg Rye, and have invaluable small-business experience to add to your resume in the e-commerce, retail and design industries.

Requirements: Applicant MUST be in Atlanta, must be a motivated self-starter, with a passion for the creative industry. Excellent organizational skills and an eye for details are a MUST. Customer service skills and an overall ability to cater to clients/customers is also very important.

Social Media Intern
Location:
Nashville, TN
Compensation: Unpaid, but potential to grow into a paid position. School credit is available if applicable.
Hours: 5-10, flexible

Responsibilities: We are seeking a social media intern to work closely with the Editor and Social Media Director on strategy and content creation to encourage growth on WOM’s social media channels. You’ll be responsible for weekly content creation, and routine monitoring reports. You will also play a vital role in ROI analysis for brand campaigns and marketing efforts. During this internship, you will truly see how social media and digital strategy has led this startup to land collaborations with national brands.

While this is an unpaid internship, there is a possibility of it becoming an hourly, paid-position as Waiting On Martha continues to grow.

Requirements: Applicant must be a motivated self-starter in Nashville, with a passion for the creative industry. Must be extremely “plugged in” to the online world through websites, blogs and social media. Knowledge of online monitoring tools and experience in marketing and blogger outreach is a major plus.

Sponsor Spotlight: Motita Jewels

I’m obsessed with jewelry.  Especially big, statement pieces of jewelry.  So you can imagine my excitement when I learned about Motita Jewels.  Motita Jewels though exotic in look is simple in idea.  A girl with a love of jewelry from a young age and a desire to create beauty.  Backed with a degree in fashion and styling from FIT and LIM, and handmade in New York, Motita actually means small powder puff in Spanish (a nickname given by her beloved grandmother).  Every piece is designed with only the finest materials, unique in creation and was recently featured in Henri Bendel (I mean Henri Bendel??!!  Amazing??!!).  Really you can’t go wrong with any Motita pieces, especially the spike bracelets, Signature necklace and the Tremont.

So the question is, what piece will you be coveting?  Personally I’ll take them all!  xo

This post was sponsored by Motita Jewels, however the opinions are 100% yours truly.
