Though it was hard to narrow down my favs for the Met Ball this year I felt one thing for sure…the stars and style makers were either right on or way off based. Because I don’t want to slam anyone’s particular style or stylist I’ll reserve my fashion misses for myself…but trust me there were some.
As far as the top trends that seemed to encompass the night were Bow Belts…though I was really only loving Dianna Agron’s Emerald Green. Plunging V’s in the front and Draping in the back like the gorgeous Nina Dobrev’s Donna Karan number and Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney. Whites and Metallic tones. Feathers best worn by Beyonce (holy body after baby). The peplum seems to still be a popular choice which I’m loving since there’s so many ways anyone can wear the peplum trend. Orange. Capes, though no ones Met Ball Cape was even close to as good as Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tom Ford at this years Oscars. And lastly vampy dark lips, Camilla Belle, or no lips at all, Claire Danes.
