My Winter Skincare Routine

Come cold weather season, I find myself on the go even more so than all of the lazy summer months, and the last thing I want to worry about is my complexion.  And while I absolutely adore this cozy time of year, it truly wreaks havoc on my skin, and I find myself on the hunt for the best products to winterize my daily skincare routine. 

Over the years I’ve found that having a winter skincare routine can be as simple as swapping out my daily moisturizer, sure, but finding the right one is absolutely key. With changing weather between the milder climates of Georgia to the downright freezing and harsh climates of the North traveling always causes my skin to appear dry, irritated and uneven, and I need to be able to depend on a routine, specifically a daily moisturizer, to give my skin that coveted, radiant, no-stress-I-actually-got-8-hours-of-sleep glow. 

Per a friend’s suggestion I recently picked up a bottle of  AVEENO®’s Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer and I’d be lying if I didn’t say how impressed I’ve been by the effects.  Sure Jen Aniston (because we’re besties) swears by it, and it’s clinically proven to even skin tone AND texture, plus it has the daily SPF I have to depend on, but I really didn’t think AVEENO® was going to be the “one.”  However, after a few weeks I have to say my skin hasn’t shown signs of any its usual stress and more importantly my super sensitive skin hasn’t broken out in the slightest.  I’ve been so thrilled with the results I also decided to give Aveeno®’s Daily Moisturizer, and their Skin Relief Gentle Scents line a shot.  It’s proven to be the answer to people with finicky skin like me…only very subtle oatmeal and coconut scents, but a creamy consistency that gives my skin that clean, yet gentle feel that I’ve come to look for in a daily wash.  Moral of the story, AVEENO® has quickly become the star to of my daily skincare routine.  Truly, MKR
