With basically the apocalypse hitting Atlanta over the past few days I’ve thought a lot about what if I was stranded in my car for 24 hours straight with no where to go?! I would need a survival kit. So obviously I’m preparing mine as we speak in case Atlanta is again ill prepared for snow in the near future. So Loves what would be in your survival? truly, MKR
What I would need to survive…
- Sustenance likely in the form of doughnuts or chips and guacamole. But I can’t deal with too many perishables…so doughnuts it is.
- A blanket. Hermes obviously.
- Veuve. Not for me of course, but for the passenger. Just because you’re stranded doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be a good host.
- Jonathan Adler Backgammon. Something to help me not slip into a state of catatonic boredom.
- A lucite trunk to hold all of my necessities.
- Fifty Fashion Looks that Changed the 90’s. I can do anything with Kate Moss by my side.
- Pellegrino for hydration.
- Sperry for J.Crew duck boots in case I need to leave my car and walk home.
- Matches and a candle, because a mood must always be set.
Duh, champagne. Especially if you can stick it in the snow like you did yesterday! Natural refrigeration, anybody?

These are great essentials! My mom always told me to have a blanket and a gallon of water in my trunk in the winter and I never thought I would actually ever use it until hearing about all of the chaos in Atl!
