With The Masters behind us and warmer weather officially here to stay, I have to admit my boyfriend and I have golf + vacation on both of our minds. Well, he’s thinking about golf and I’m thinking about lounging in the sun with a little R&R in the spa. I was introduced to Kiawah Island this time last year when MKR shared this travel post, and can’t stop thinking about how nice a little weekend getaway to South Carolina’s coast would be!
As MKR shared in her original post last year, Kiawah is a private island community and home to a mix of year round residents, luxurious second homes, the quaintest downtown, a top ten golf course, and a five-star resort called The Sanctuary. Settled among winding moss filled streets, The Sanctuary envelopes you in Southern hospitality from the moment you walk through the front doors. And can we talk about those classic Adirondack chairs that line the pristine lawn? That’s where I’d want to stay the majority of the time, curled up with a good book.
