A Very Thankful Thanksgiving with Occasions Magazine

I recently had the chance to create 2 different holiday tablescapes for one of my favorite magazines, Occasions.  First up, Thanksgiving.  I wanted to create a table that was very inviting and warm, but most importantly I wanted a table ANYONE could re-create or draw inspiration from.  So how did I do that?  By running around like a mad woman and pulling my MUST have entertaining pieces from my own kitchen then adding festive accents from Ice Milk Aprons, Boxwoods, World Market, Homegoods, and Hobby Lobby.

With help from my parents, the amazing duo Robert and Tiffany from Rustic White Photograpphy and my dear friends over at Ecco Atlanta I somehow pulled it off.  Below are some pics, but check out Occasions Magazine for my entertaining MUST Haves, how you can “shop the shoot” and an oh-so-easy “Toasted Cider” cocktail recipe.  Happy early Thanksgiving loves,  xoxo

Inspiring Interiors

With the completion of our new house looming I’m officially in panic mode.  Though I have an over arching vision of what I want the decor to be I’m by no means close to the decorating finish line and in desperate need of inspiration.  So what better place to find inspiration than Lonny Magazine.

Have you seen any interiors that are screaming your name lately?  xoxo

Beachcomber Dinner Party

I love nothing more than throwing a fabulous party, or better yet a dinner party.  And with The Shop now open entertaining is easier than ever.  Case in point, my fabulous Beachcomber dinner party.  Inspired by our organic Octopus towels and napkins, and One Kings Lane plates we mixed all shades of blue with our shocking chartreuse Ikat placemats.   Can’t you just hear the ocean calling?  xoxo

Pulp Design Studios Modern Craftsman

Recently I came across Pulp Design Studios (thanks Luella & June), and immediately fell in love with their gorgeous, yet liveable spaces.  And their Modern Craftsman project has me in full on swoon mode.  The master bath and greenhouse dining are what dreams are made of.  Enjoy!  xoxo

And my favorite room…the Greenhouse!

Life Via Instagram

The last 10 days have been absolutely crazy.  Crazy.  I’ve launched an online boutique, created numerous custom “Martha Mixes” for my amazing clients, had friends in town from Chicago, and of course celebrated America’s birthday.  Since I don’t have the energy left to elaborate on all of our shenanigans I thought I’d let Instagram  do the dirty work for me (where to finds & details below).  And if you’re not following Waiting On Martha Instagram yet simply click HERExoxo

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks.  With the re-launch of our Etsy Shop (thanks for all of the support), prepping our e-commerce site (launching July 6th), and all of our other shenanigans I’ve barley been able to catch my breath (sorry for the lack of blog postings).  Anyway, I thought I’d catch all you loves up on what’s been happening in “Martha’s” world via my favorite app…Instagram.  xoxo

Waiting On Martha Wedding Week…The Engagement

With wedding season in full swing I thought it only appropriate to dedicate an entire week of our blog to sweet, sweet wedded bliss.  I am by no means a wedding planner, nor would I ever want to be (God bless wedding planners), but while planning our own wedding in 8 short months I did pick up some tips, ideas, thoughts, etc. I wanted to share with you loves throughout the week.  So what better way to kick off WOM Wedding Week than with the engagement, and the most important thing I learned…have FUN!

Yes it’s one of the biggest days of your life, and you’ve probably been planning it since they day you were born, but things are going to go wrong (wait till you hear my church story).  Every little thing will NOT be perfect.  There will be arguments.  You will at some point wish you had just ran off to Vegas.  And you know what, that’s okay.

Though I know I lost sight of this little tidbit from time to time throughout the planning process I’d say we had fun 90% of the time.  And based on our engagement pics from the AMAZING S1 Photograpy, I think you can see just how much we were completely ourselves.

So brides and brides to be, let’s find the joy in it all again, kick up our heels and cheers to FUN!  xoxo

House Hunting

Most people think house hunting is stressful.  I am not one of those people.  I love it, and everything that goes along with it.  The only problem is my idea of a perfect home doesn’t always fit my husband’s idea of the perfect price.  Case in point, 435 King Road Atlanta.  It has everything a family needs…amazing spaces, outdoor living, a wine cellar (obviously a must for me), I can’t help that my perfect home comes with a $10 million dollar price tag.  What’s a girl to do?  Once I’ve found that money tree I’ve been searching for the realtor can expect a call from us.  Happy weekend Loves.  xoxo

The backyard.  Can’t you just picture me lounging by the pool?  I mean it’s like this home was built for me.  Oh the grand parties I would throw.

Interior perfection, I wouldn’t change a thing…maybe the chandelier is a tad too small for the space, but other than that not a thing.

Loving the crisp white…just remove the cat from the kitchen please (sorry I’m not a cat person people).

How romantic is this master bedroom?  I’m dying over the ceilings!

Barn doors will be happening somewhere in some house that I own.  Love.

The beautiful aspect about living in the south is you literally get to be outside year round, so of course I need outside living!  Obvi.

I mean the television drops down from the ceiling?  Though I doubt I’d be watching Avatar, sorry James Cameron.

I would likely spill red wine on these gorgeous white couches, but I’m loving the Hermes lacquer tray.

As if the outside pool wasn’t enough, don’t worry there’s one inside.

This is all the hubs needed to see to sell him.  Don’t worry though if your husband isn’t a golfer the home also boasts an indoor gym, indoor basketball court, sauna, movie theater, pool table and man cave.

{Must Live}…Jonathan Adler

I was in Jonathan Adler Atlanta yesterday picking up THIS and per usual you couldn’t tear me away from the store.  I wanted everything.  Literally everything.  Somehow I managed to exit with only 1 unplanned purchase (the Dolls Container to hold my wedding rings) but I’m plotting the 10 below.  What’s your fav?  xoxo

A Very Waiting On Martha Easter

It’s a crazy morning over here at the Rye household preparing for our first guests since moving in.  And though we still aren’t fully unpacked I find that no reason not to throw a fabulous Good Friday dinner.  Below are some pics I snapped of the tablescape preparation, Easter basket cupcakes and the amazingly tasty Key Lime cookies to kick off the weekend festivities.  But before the guests arrive I wanted to send a happy Good Friday to you all, and a wish that whatever your plans are for the holiday weekend that you’re celebrating with family, friends and of course lots of good food!  xoxo
