Alright black thumbs, I’m writing to you. It’s time we highlighted some easy indoor houseplants. We’ve already given our ode to the Fiddle Fig Tree, the plant darling of the design world, and one you’ve noticed in so many gorgeous interiors on Pinterest. But the truth about our dear old Fiddle Fig Trees? They’re hard to keep alive. Like really hard.
So I think it’s due time to share eight easy indoor houseplants worth knowing and loving. Of course, our easy DIY succulents are always a great option. And believe it or not, there are some other indoor houseplants that are hard to kill, some that don’t need a lot of light, nor need a lot of water (for up to a month!). I know, I know, I can hear the angels singing now too. But another cool part about a lot of these plants is their ability to purify the air around them…and I’m all for that. If you’re still not convinced you need some greenery around the house, just visit Terrain and I bet you’ll be a quick convert to the world of gardening. Click on the image above to flip through the slideshow with all eight houseplants! Are you cursed with a black thumb, or do you have more luck when it comes to these indoor companions? Cheers, Kat
I used to be able to kill even cacti (which is supposed to be impossible 🙂 but ever since I got my own place and began experimenting a little bit, I’m getting slightly better (three months in, and my orchids are still alive!) I’ve been on the hunt for more indoor plants to add to my repertoire, so this list really comes in handy! Fingers crossed 🙂
